About the event

Rajasthan "land of the Rajput Kings" is a state in northwestern India. Its capital is Jaipur "The Pink City" Its palaces and forts are vestiges of the many kingdoms that once fought over the region.

Today, Rajasthan is known for its legends around the Rajput warrior kings, their fortified castles and palaces, their literally colorful culture and their vast desert.

Magnetic Fields is a three-day festival held in a 17th century palace in the middle of the desert of Rajasthan. Now in its seventh year, it attracts nearly 5,000 world-renowned revelers and artists, to Alsisar Mahal, a magnificent palace turned five-star hotel and the desert region that surrounds it. The festival was created by Wild City co-founders Sarah and Munbir Chawla, but exists mostly with the full support and cooperation of the Prince of the Palace himself, Abhimanyu Alsisar.

Then our journey will take us from Alsisar Palace to Pushkar, the holy city, via Jaipur. Our partner (Step Beyond Borders) is also located in this city. Their teams will take care of us from the end of the festival to show us around their charming region and make us discover their projects, to remind us that behind the majestic palaces and exotic tourist places, behind this magnificent festival, hides another reality, that of 70% of the Indian population.

Step Beyond Border is a social and solidarity economy organization which uses part of the funds generated by its service activities to support social projects aimed at working children, suffering from AIDS and other children living in rural areas.
